By Road
Mount Augustus is accessible via unsealed roads from several major towns. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for outback conditions, and check road conditions before traveling.
- From Carnarvon: 430 km (~6 hrs) via Gascoyne Junction
- From Meekatharra: 360 km (~5 hrs) via Landor
- From Paraburdoo: 430 km (~6 hrs)
- From Geraldton: 660 km (~8 hrs)
- From Gascoyne Junction: 288 km
4WD is recommended, especially after rain. Carry extra fuel, water, and spare tyres, as roadside services are limited.
By Air
